“Invisibility”

A delicate ray of sun
Silently glimmering on the snow caps
On the banks of the hills
That settle and lay on the horizon

Above the scene
Soaring high into the crisp mountain air
A hawk circling a meadow
In search of life on the barren ground

And below
Dazzling the hawk with its camouflage
A snow hare creeps slowly, stealthily
Keeping itself unnoticed

The scene plays out
The give and chase consuming two lives
While across the field lines are being set atop poles
Ensuring no one can be invisible again
